Lawn watering has to stop on Oct. 1. Denver Water announced that Thursday, Oct. 1, is the hard cutoff for customers due to reservoir storage. These regulations are indefinite and will remain in place through next spring. It may change in the summer depending on this winter’s snowpack.
Voting has begun for Colorado’s Fat Marmot Week. It’s been a hard year for marmots due to Colorado’s low winter snowpack. In an effort to secure funding for further research on the animals, the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory is hosting the first-ever Fat Marmot Week in Colorado. Support the cause and vote for the marmot you think is the fattest!
Dolly Parton’s stage costumes will be displayed at the Denver Art Museum. A new exhibition will open on Oct. 4 and will display two stage costumes worn by the late country singer, actress, and philanthropist who died this week. In January, the museum will host a panel with members of the Dolly Parton Archives speaking about the preservation of Parton’s legacy.
