Art & Cultural Festivals

Spirit of Japan Denver

📍Sakura Square | September 12, 6 p.m. September 14, 5 p.m.

Experience Japanese culture at Spirit of Japan Denver! With three days of food, music, dance, and art, this festival brings Sakura Square to life. Who wouldn’t want to experience Japan for free without leaving Denver? 

Park Hill Arts Fest

📍Park Hill Masonic Lodge Grounds | Saturday, September 13, 10 a.m.-Sunday, September 14, 4 p.m.

Come to the Park Hill Arts Fest and enjoy a vibrant celebration of local art and community! This beloved neighborhood festival features 80+ artists, live music, food trucks, and creative fun for all ages. 

Highlands Oktoberfest & Market

📍3737 W. 32nd Ave. | Saturday, September 13, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Celebrate Bavarian culture at OktoberFest in Denver’s Highlands. This free community event has German food, beer, lively music, and also includes unique vendors and market stalls. This is a neighborhood party you won’t want to miss!

Handmade in Colorado Expo

📍Wynkoop Plaza at Union Station | Saturday, September 13, 12 p.m.-Sunday, September 14, 6 p.m.

Discover handcrafted products made by Colorado artisans and designers at the Handmade in Colorado Expo! The works span a variety of artistic media, from glass and metal to fibers and paint. Come to Union Station on Saturday or Sunday to shop local and connect with makers.

Sunnyside Music Festival 

📍Chaffee Park | Saturday, September 13, 12-7:30 p.m. Come to the Sunnyside Music Festival on Saturday, September 13th! Chaffee Park will be transformed into a festival with Colorado bands, yoga in the grass, local food, and plenty of craft brews. It’s free, homegrown, and every dollar raised goes right back into supporting youth arts and music programs in the neighborhood.

Denver Art Museum Free Day

📍Denver Art Museum | Tuesday, September 9 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

You don’t need to drain your bank account to experience exceptional art. Take advantage of Denver Art Museum’s Free Day so you can wander through galleries, explore new exhibits, and learn something new, all without spending a dime. 

Wings Over the Rockies Free Day

📍Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum | Friday, September 12, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Explore aviation and space history at Denver’s iconic aerospace museum. Wings Over the Rockies is waiving admission for all! Turn your Friday into a field trip by attending this free day

Rocky Mountain Park Clean Up Day:

📍Rocky Mountain Park | Saturday, September 13th, 10 a.m.-12p.m.

Give back to nature with a volunteer day at Rocky Mountain Park. Community members will gather to help clean up and care for the beloved outdoor space. Meet at the playground frog and spend the morning making a real difference.

Youth on Record Block Party

📍Youth on Record | Sunday, September 14th, 1-6 p.m.

End your weekend with a block party that’s as cool as it is meaningful. Youth on Record hands the mic to Denver’s rising artists for a day of live music, local vendors, and community love. Beyond the fun, it also gives local youth experience in music and event production.

Levitt Pavilion Free Concert Series: Sir Woman with Blankslate

📍Levitt Pavilion | Thursday, September 11, 7-9 p.m.

Enjoy a soulful night of live music as Sir Woman takes the stage with indie band Blankslate. The outdoor venue at Levitt Pavilion makes it the perfect spot to take in tunes outside. Best of all, it’s totally free to attend.

Sacred Voices LIVE (Open Mic)

📍Denver Community Media | Friday, September 12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

This monthly open mic creates space for powerful storytelling, spoken word, and poetry. Creators and spectators are all welcome! Artists of all ages and backgrounds will be sharing their voices in an encouraging atmosphere. 

Levitt Pavilion Free Concert Series: Viva Southwest Mariachi ft. Lupita Infante and Mariachi Estelares de Colorado

📍Levitt Pavilion | Sunday, September 14, 5-7 p.m. Experience the tradition of mariachi music with a lively outdoor performance. Featuring Lupita Infante and local favorites Mariachi Estelares de Colorado, this concert celebrates heritage and community.
