As I watch the Olympics it never ceases to amaze me what is possible when you have grit, passion and an unmatched work ethic.  It’s not just in athletics. These qualities make for champions in all endeavors. In local news you must be determined too. To win you don’t quit.

As Bucket List Community News sprints to the end of our Christmas in July fundraiser we are not quitting. We still have three days until the end of the campaign, and with your contributions, we can keep serving you with trustworthy community journalism and help Bienvenidos Food Bank fight hunger too.

Our team of aspiring journalists is not quitting. They are writing 200 stories a year which are free to everyone. Our managers are not quitting. They work tirelessly to engage you. And Bienvenidos is not quitting. Every day they make sure our neighbors have enough to eat.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed so far. To those of you who appreciate our free hyperlocal neighborly news and have not yet contributed, make a pledge today. Whether it’s $10 or $1000 we are grateful you are behind us and ensuring that we stay in the game.

Warmest Regards,
Vicky Collins
