Good morning, Bucket Listers,
Election Day is here! As the votes are being cast and counted, Bucket List Community News is working to bring you the latest updates on both national races and the local elections that matter most to the Denver area. We are proudly doing this in collaboration with the student journalists and faculty at Metropolitan State University.
Thanks to our partnership with the Associated Press, we’re delivering real-time results from the national stage, but just as importantly, we’re covering the local races that have a direct impact on our community. We know these local contests are important to you, and you can count on us to provide the most relevant and accurate updates as they happen. We are also participating in Student News Live, a historic collaboration of 122 universities around the country to provide 24 hours of live coverage by student journalists.
First things first: If you haven’t voted yet there’s still time. Drop your ballot off at ballot boxes scattered around the city or head to our polling places. VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
Then follow our website and socials through the night for results provided by AP and the Secretary of State. Our team is following key races to keep you informed and Gary Shapiro, former 9News anchor will be joining us an advisor.
Throughout the evening, Bucket List Community News has the information you need. Although we provide all our information to you for free, it is not free to produce it. Please contribute so we can pay our team and make sure they have enough pizza and refreshments to fuel them for the night. So far, we have raised $450 of our $1000 goal.
Keep us close throughout the day and stay informed as university students and recent graduates cover an election for the first time.
