Can you believe July is already over? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun, but the memories don’t have to. One nostalgic trend that’s making a comeback is the classic photo booth. These vintage booths are finding a new audience as younger generations start to embrace the charm of keepsakes in a digitalized world.
Whether you’re celebrating a night out, documenting a fun day with friends, or you just want a new Instagram profile picture, these are our favorite photo booths around the Denver metro area to help you capture the little moments in life.
1.) Velvet Lasso
First up, we’ve got the Velvet Lasso, a cute cafe and lounge in LoHi. It started off as a coffee shop well known for its delicious coffee and bites. Earlier this summer, the folks there opened up the Lasso Lounge, which is open on the weekends with a completely different menu but the same vibes.
The location is loved for its western aesthetic and unique decor. Visit the shop day or night to find a retro photo booth and a great time.

2.) Stanley Marketplace
I took a trip to Stanley Marketplace this week to check out this photobooth located on the second floor. The marketplace is a one-of-a-kind location full of locally owned businesses. While you’re there, make sure to grab a bite to eat or treat yourself to a little shopping.
The photo strips are in black and white, which matches the building’s history as an aviation facility in 1954, giving your pictures a timeless feel.

3.) Meininger Art Supply
Meininger Art Supply is a family-owned business that has been located in Denver since 1881. The store has changed locations throughout Denver quite a bit, but their charm follows them everywhere they go. Carrying over 80,000 art materials, this is the perfect place to visit for those of you who are crafty.
They’re also home to one of Denver’s newer analog photobooths! For only $6, you could get a black and white strip of four photos with a funky checkered background.

4.) Skylark Lounge
If you want to remember a fun night out with your friends, make your way to the Skylark Lounge, a 21+ music venue and bar. This spot has also been operating for a while, first opening its doors in 1943.
Catch one of its many free or low-cost shows, play a game of pool and of course, don’t forget to snap a pic in the photobooth before you head home.

5.) Colorado Photographic Arts Center
This arts center is a nonprofit organization that offers year-round exhibitions, classes, workshops and public events. Their goal is simply to uplift artistic vision and build community!
The best part is that their exhibitions are free year-round so you can enjoy and support other artists. You can also stop by the fully restored 1960s vintage photo booth that offers 4 pictures per strip for $8.
Colorado Photographic Arts Center – 1200 Lincoln St #111 Denver
A trip to the photobooth is a fun reminder of the moments in life that matter! Even if they’re not perfectly posed, make sure to hop into one of these booths and get a keepsake that you’ll treasure long after the day is over.
