Dear Friends of Bucket List Community News,
There are just two days left in our Spring Fling Fundraiser and we still need support. Your contributions give us the ability to serve the community with free local news, mentor the next generation of journalists and connect the Denver metro.
You are the why in our work. Listening to you and others in our community helps us cover what matters in our neighborhoods. It also is helping us reach the ambitious goals we have set at Bucket List Community News. Let me share just a few recent wins that you made possible.

Our Bucket List Community team won 4 awards Including a first place (congratulations PJ Guidry) in the regional Society for Professional Journalists competition. Congratulations Daniel, Cassis, PJ and Maxx on standing out among journalists in four states. In addition, our editor, Toni Tresca, was just named one of Editor and Publishers Tomorrow’s News Trailblazers.
In 2025, Bucket List Community News published 248 articles, with 199 (80%) written by students. Of the 199 total student articles, 146 were written by enrolled students and 53 by graduates. In addition to the articles, our Engagement team expanded content production through different platforms, producing 6 podcast episodes, 9 monthly radio show episodes on KGNU, 113 newsletters, and video content for editorial, social media and branding.
More of your neighbors are subscribing to our free neighborly news. From 2024 through 2025 our website views went up 43% and our visitors went up by 44%. Because of you our one time and recurring monthly contributions are up and we have gained sponsors.
