Every Learner Thrives
Denver Public Schools (DPS) is committed to helping every learner thrive through equitable opportunities, inspiring classrooms, and meaningful community partnerships.
About DPS
Serving more than 90,000 students across 207 schools, DPS is one of Colorado’s largest and most diverse school districts. With over 10,000 dedicated employees, the district strives to create welcoming, engaging environments where every student can discover their strengths and reach their full potential.
A Focus on Quality and Equity
DPS classrooms are designed to be vibrant spaces of learning where caring educators challenge and support students through culturally responsive teaching. By honoring each student’s background and identity, DPS ensures that learning is relevant, inclusive, and empowering.
Achievement and Growth
In 2025, DPS earned an Accredited (Green) rating from the Colorado Department of Education — the second in district history — meeting state standards for academic achievement, growth, and readiness for life beyond graduation. This milestone reflects the shared commitment of students, families, and educators to continuous improvement and excellence.
Preparing Students for the Future
From early literacy to graduation, DPS helps every student prepare for college, career, and life. Innovative programs, career pathways, and strong partnerships with local organizations ensure that students leave DPS ready to pursue their passions and make a positive impact in their communities.
Enrollment and SchoolChoice
