Overview:
The race for the traditionally conservative U.S. House Congressional District 4 is currently too close to call between Boebert and Laubacher.
Incumbent Lauren Boebert and Eileen Laubacher, a retired Navy rear admiral, are racing to represent Colorado’s fourth congressional district. The district, which covers the Eastern Plains and extends west into Loveland and Douglas County, is considered the state’s reddest seat.
The Associated Press has not yet called this race. The latest return shows Laubacher leading with 49.2% and Boebert with 47.7% as of 11:40 a.m. (MT) on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Boebert and Laubacher engaged in a fiery debate on Oct. 14. Laubacher criticized Boebert’s continued support for President Trump’s tariffs and the war in Iran, while the incumbent questioned her challenger’s patriotism and integrity.
Laubacher was a registered Republican before changing to unaffiliated in 2024. She is now a moderate Democrat who supports strong borders and banning members of Congress from stock trading. In the Oct. 14 debate, she said she would not waste two years trying to impeach President Trump.
