SUMMARY:Lakewood Cultural Center: Winter Salon Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:“Salon style” refers to hanging multiple pieces of art closely together in a dense\, floor‑to‑ceiling arrangement rather than spacing them out in a single line. This method began in 17th‑century France and later flourished in the grand French salons of the 1800s. Inspired by that vibrant tradition\, this year’s Winter Salon features a wide range of artistic styles — from traditional to visionary — celebrating Lakewood’s creative community. \nThe Winter Salon runs Nov. 7\, 2026\, through Jan. 2\, 2027\, and features a large group exhibition of small\, accessibly priced artworks. All pieces are 16 by 20 inches or smaller\, priced at $500 or less and available for purchase. Inspired by the vibrant spirit of the French salons of the 1800s\, this year’s show includes a wide range of artistic styles — from traditional to visionary — celebrating Lakewood’s creative community. \n\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X
